Users
Users are the people who can sign in to your organisation. Each user has a role, and most can also be given an access level that sets exactly what they can do.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”Go to Security → Users. Search by name or email. Each user shows a status:
- ACTIVE: signed up and able to use Homwe.
- UNVERIFIED: hasn’t finished verifying their account.
| Role | What it means |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access to everything. The person who creates the organisation becomes its Owner. |
| Admin | Full access to everything. |
| Employee | Only what their access level allows. |
| Collaborator | Only what their access level allows. Intended for outside helpers, such as an accountant. |
Choose the right role when you invite someone.
Invite someone
Section titled “Invite someone”- Click Invite User. You can also hover over your organisation in the organisation switcher and click Invite members.
- Enter their Email and choose a Role. The default is Employee.
- Click Send Invite.
They’ll get an email saying “You’re Invited!” with an Accept Invitation button. The invitation expires after 7 days.
You can’t invite someone who’s already in your organisation.
The Invitations tab
Section titled “The Invitations tab”The Invitations tab lists every invitation, newest first, with its Role, Status (Pending, Accepted, or Rejected), and Invited and Expires dates. A badge shows how many are pending.
To send someone their link again, choose Copy Invite from the row’s menu and share it with them directly.
Accepting an invitation
Section titled “Accepting an invitation”The invited person clicks the link and signs in, or creates an account, using the same email address the invitation was sent to. The page shows “You’re invited to organisation”, who invited them, the role, and when the invitation expires. They then click Accept or Reject.
- Accept shows “Joined organisation”, and the organisation appears in their organisation switcher. New users skip the setup wizard.
- Reject shows “Invitation declined”.
- The choice is final. Opening the link again shows “You’ve already accepted this invitation” or “You’ve already declined this invitation”.
If they see “This invitation can’t be opened”, either the link has expired or they’re signed in with a different email. Ask them to sign in with the email address the invitation was sent to.

Impersonate a user
Section titled “Impersonate a user”If you have permission, an Impersonate button lets you use Homwe as that user to check what they can see. You can only impersonate someone with a lower role than yours.
While you’re impersonating, a banner reads “You are impersonating name. Signed in as you.” Click Exit to stop. Everything you do is recorded under both your name and theirs.
