Currencies
Homwe supports a set of traditional currencies and cryptocurrencies: USD, EUR, GBP, ZAR, BWP, ZWG, CNY, CNH, JPY, BTC, and ETH. One of them is your default currency, the currency your books are kept in.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”Go to Settings → Currencies. The list shows each currency’s Code, Name, Symbol, and Type (FIAT or CRYPTO). A green tick marks your default.
All currencies are available to every organisation. You don’t need to turn them on before using them on documents.
Your default currency
Section titled “Your default currency”Your default currency is what the Journal, Trial Balance, and account balances are shown in. Documents in other currencies are converted into it using your exchange rates when they’re posted. Price list prices are also in this currency.
A new organisation starts without a default currency. To set it, open the currency’s … menu and choose Make Default. You’ll see “Name (CODE) is now your default currency.” Settings → Readiness Checks can also set one for you.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”Permissions are given through access levels. Owners and Admins have all of them.
You need Set Default Currency to change the default currency. Anyone in the organisation can view the list.
